INVERSIONS & ARM BALANCES
There are many ways to practice handstands; circus style, gymnastics style, yoga style, break dancing style and the list goes on.
One isn't necessarily better than the other. Using techniques from many different disciplines helps get more students accustomed to being upside down, sideways... balancing on anything but their feet.
You can expect to practice strengthening and stretching wrists, shoulders and the thoracic spine. You'll train in many different ways... even crawling on the floor to help build confidence and proprioceptive awareness.
There's always lots of floor work, and some wall work, but its a rare day that you'll just practice kicking up to the wall. Each class is catered towards the arm balance or inversion being focused on that day.
